Duration: 1 Day
Introduction
This course covers Solid Edge Mold Tooling functions which convey the powerful step-by-step process workflow for the design of plastic injection molds. The instructor will introduce areas of focus for each Mold Tooling workflow and then reinforce this topic with well-designed lab exercises.
At Course Completion
Students will learn how to apply an accurate shrinkage factor to the molded part. Students will learn how to automatically create a parting surface to determine correct geometry for the core and cavity, which can be machined directly into the plates or separate core and cavity blocks. Students will learn how to easily create a pattern of the blocks for multi-cavity molds. Students will learn how model other key features such as gates, cooling channels, ejectors, inserts, slides, lifters, and runners.
