HOME >> SUPPORT
EMI provides technical support for a customer, with experienced support engineers to help with your analysis or just help get you started. The purpose of this web is to enhance the technical support services we offer to our customers and to provide access to our knowledge database. We have also tried to give you access to a number of additional resources to help you when you are experiencing difficulties with any of our supported products, or just to learn more about how to use our products.
ANSYS Technical Support
Engineering Methods provides comprehensive ANSYS technical support for Technical Enhancement and Customer Support (TECS) subscribers. By subscribing to TECS, customers are entitled to major software upgrades, service packs, and technical support.
In addition to TECS support, EMI is ready to work with you to provide training, mentoring, and consulting services.
Problem Solving Steps
The following steps are provided as a framework for problem solving.
– Search the ANSYS or Workbench Documentation. A tremendous amount of theory, command usage documentation, and verification examples are available.
– Look for similar problems posted in Common Problems & Errors. This section is updated regularly so check back often.
– Try to reproduce your problem or verify a technique on a simple model. Build experience with a model where handbook results are known. If your problem appears to be a system issue, try the model on another computer or try a different model on your own system (where possible).
– Review the issue with your ASC. The ASC should have access to the ANSYS online Knowledge Base. Many problems are explained there and if there is an error, a workaround is most often provided. Don’t know who your ASC is? Click here and EMI will let you know.
– If you are having a LICENSE issue, please select this link and read the instructions provided.
